from kitchen with love ---- homemade Barley Drink

assalamualaikum, :)

I bought Organic Pearl Barley brand Radiant from Jaya grocer last Tuesday, and planning to make my own barley drink, lebih bagus amalkan minum barley drink daripada minum all those sweet drinks, keep healthy people, ahaha!

Well, we can save a lot by prepare this drink at home, so tak perlulah nk beli air manis2 lain tu..but sometimes hubby still insisted to buy juices especially guava juice, hah yang tu memang his fav, so once in  awhile i think ok laaa...:P

Barley ni aku dah start soak petang semalam before keluar lunch dengan Jay, so it tooks almost 4 to 5 hours jugak aku rendam barley ni.  According to Kak dee, kalau rendam dulu before rebus, barley ni akan rebus sekejap je, and boleh hilangkan kulit luar barley tu.

So sampai je rumah, aku tengok barley tu dah sedia untuk direbus, while tunggu barley tu siap direbus, aku layan tengok tv.  :)
Dah siap, aku biarkan barley tu sejuk and after that simpan dlm plastic container and letak dlm fridge.

Kalau biasanya orang lain buat air barley without blend the barley, but this time aku buat air barley dengan barley tu di blend...idea ni aku dapat masa minum air barley kat food court kat Miri, here comes the idea.  Setakat ni tak pernah lagi aku minum air barley area Shah Alam atau KL yang biji barley tu di blend, well aku rasa lagi mudah kalau diblend, sebab tak payah nk kunyah2, hahaha! dasar pemalas tau...makan nk, kunyah taknak? hai laaaa linda....

Aku suka minum air barley ni, tapi kadang-kadang kalau minum kat kedai mamak, or kedai2 makan, susah nk dpt barley yang best.  Even pernah terkena, order barley kat Pelita Nasi Kandar, tapi hampa bila air barley tu masam! euwww..ni mesti kes barley dah lama dlm periuk..erghhhh....

ok, barley yang dah siap rebus semalam aku masukkan dlm blender, letak air (pls do not pun tab water -- and pls use RO water or apa2 air putih yang dah dimasak)...lepas dh blend barley tu, masukkan dalam jar, campurkan air, dan letak gula ( jgn letak bnyk sangat gula, dah tak healthy la nnti :P) setakat ada rasa manis ringan2 ok la tu...:)

Siap 2 jar homemade barley drinks :) yeay, i put them in the fridge, so nikmatnya bila minum sejuk2 :)

from kitchen with love ---- Resepi Lala

assalamualaikum :)

bila tiba-tiba rajin nak memasak..well, i do love cooking, especially kalau ramai orang ada kat rumah, so seronoknya memasak dan ramai orang makan, dan makan beramai2..aha!  tapi one thing yang aku tak suka bila tinggal sorang2 kat rumah, memang masa tu takde mood nk masak, kalau masak pun cuma yang sangat super simple, contohnya maggi, :P (jangan tiru, sebab ini tak berkhasiat) tapi kalau nk tiru jugak, boleh tiru menu yang berkhasiat dan simple, --- brown rice, grilled chicken (marinate sendiri dengan blackpepper, a pinch of salt, mixed herbs...memang marvellous), and jgn lupa veggie ye, boleh buat steam veggie..memang mudah and simple, plus HEALTHY :)

Gambar IG dari one of my friend sangat menggiurkan, kikiki..sedap pulak tengok Nadwa post gambar lala..ku sangkakan dia makan kat kedai, sebab tengok gambar lala tu memang telan air liur, :P so aku komen kat gmbar IG diye, and ask her...'wah lazatnya, kat kedai mana ni?'---konon2 nak ajak my Nazmi gi makan la nnti...hheheh
sangkaan ku meleset, rupanya Nadwa masak sendiri la lalalalala, eh banyak plak lalalla, well, Nadwa masak sendiri Lala tu, nyummeh nye...:) cepat2 aku mintak resepi, and cepat2 jugak Nadwa reply bagi aku resepi...
Sebenarnya, dan sejujurnya aku tak pernah masak lala...so, why not i give it a try?

bawang merah, halia, bawang putih 2 ulas ( tiga2 bahan ni hiris mayang)
serai 1 btg (titik)

PENTING
sebelum masak lala tu, tolong rendam dengan air terlebih dahulu supaya kotoran2 dan selut2 tu jatuh dalam air.  Ulang sekurang2nya 3 kali.

Selepas semua bahan-bahan dah disediakan, tumis macam biasa, tumis bawang, halia, dan serai sampai naik bau, kemudian masukkan cili merah hidup yang dah ditumbuk.
Kemudian masukkan air, sukatan agak2.

************************************************************

semua bahan aku dah beli, semangat betul nk masak lala lah katakan...:)
tapi satu benda aku terlupa nk beli, kat rumah pun dah habis...apa dia? ooooopppss HALIA!
Fikir punya fikir, takpe..manfaatkan aje apa yang ada..therefore, aku lebihkan bawang putih, serai pun aku lebihkan.  and aku tambahkan air limau nipis, so kuah tu akan ada rasa masam2 sikit tapi taklah keterlaluan.  :)

jeng...jeng...jeng...

inilah hasilnya...
